When you look at an astrological chart, are you aware of what guides your seeing?

Some forms of seeing take us deeper into the sky, others into our projections. If you know what I mean, you're there! If not, and you're ready, read on!

Delineation is the start.

It becomes the basis of analysis and comparison. In this course you will leave knowing the delineation basics of traditional astrology, as well as the archetypal significance of placements.

These two lenses are capable of rendering both the very specific and the powerfully fundamental dynamics within a nativity. We will also turn our attention to the essence of sharpening your gaze, seeing the natural sky in the chart.

What is Delineation?

Coming from Latin delineatus, de- “completely” + lineare “draw lines”, delineation is the complex way that astrologers portray in words the understandings that arise from the chart.

The art and craft of describing the astrological in words effectively involves a heightened awareness. Of the multitude of factors, the prioritisation of particular elements over others is key and chart delineation is founded on very simple, yet profound principles that open the chart to exacting descriptions when combined with keeping the awareness alive to surprising subtleties.

course delivery

Live attendance is encouraged and the way that you will get the most out of this course. Most sessions will be run as in a workshop format to learn from theory and example then apply what is presented to your own nativity and that of others.

All theory and example portions of each session will be recorded and shared with all as we go along.

While there is no required text for this course, there will be three books recommended and many online resources shared.

You are welcome to use any astrology software or app that you wish, however this is not a course in using various astrology software. I can only advise on those that I am most familiar with. For those that require it, I will be encouraging participants to use the online chart software at Astro-Seek.

Each session will be two hours in length with breaks between segments. Taught via Zoom.
