With Venus in Taurus, these talismans were crafted, carved into rich green malachite cabochons and large dics. Malachite is mineralised copper and carries powerful Venusian virtues. Equally, these stones are ethically-sourced.

All aspects of their creation took place during full ritual conditions and aligned with auspicious astrological elections. With Venus as Evening Star, the Star of Aphrodite established in her sovereignty and attaining the fulfillment of their abundantly rich and bountiful desires on Earth, as well as the profound receptivity to the sensual world and aesthetic experiences, giving rise to their expressions fucundantly.

In the election for the talismans’ creation, the final carving of the discs, and suffumigation of both, on April 19th, the radiant, waxing Moon in fertile Taurus, the earth sign of Venus, was applying to Venus by conunction, after being further bonified by the recent sextile with Jupiter in Cancer. Venus and the Moon are rising.

Some of the initial carving of the malachite discs took place during an auspicious election prior on April 14th as Venus was culminating while applying to the ascendant, the Moon in Pisces, the sign of the Venus’ exaltation, applying to Jupiter in Cancer by Trine and Venus in Taurus by Sextile. The final carving and ritual suffumigation took place days later during the election above on April 19th.

The intentions and telos of these talismans bring forth receptivity to a profound sensuality, and deep appreciation of the exquisite fleshiness of the world, To taste, to touch, and at once enraptured—the pleasures of the earth made manifest. They are intended to grant the wearer and their efforts to come about by the power of the radiant and generative effluence of the Star of Aphrodite.

These talismans are for general good fortune, profound sexuality, drawing and emboding beauty, as well as talent in the arts and crafts.

The design for the malachite cabochons features the Kamea of Venus, the seal featured in historical sources, such as those found in Agrippa.

The design for the disks draws from both Mediaeval/Renaissance sources (c. 1100–1600 CE), on one side of which is engraved the kamea, seal, and sigils for Venus and the associated Spirit and Intelligence, and early Hellenistic magical gem tradition (c. 300 BCE–300 CE), on the other side is engraved the profound image of Aphrodite “letting down her hair” at the centre surrounded by three key names associated with Aphrodite and her power written in Greek letters.

One such is Aphrodite’s secret and magical name, ΑΡΩΡΙΦΡΑΣΙΣ, pronounced Arorifrasis, which can be translated in modern Greek as “aroma”. This name, however, means much more. Scholars have speculated that “the magical name of Aphrodite, ΑΡΩΡΙΦΡΑΣΙΣ, would express perfectly the goddess's duality by calling her goddess of fertility and goddess of heaven in one name, thus combining for the talisman wearer all the powers of the celestial Aphrodite Ourania and the popular Aphrodite Pandemos.

The cabochons can be worn as a pendant or ring in Sterling Silver.

The dics were crafted to be a powerful talismanic images of the Goddess to be included on a shrine or other suitable place and each comes for the black-lacquered easel.

All come with a box suitable to be a home for the talisman when not work or out filled with spikenard root, royal hojari frankincense tears, cherry blossoms, and rose petals.

Various translations of the Hymn to Physis, see below, were used during all preparations and rituals to emphasis the funcund and powerful expression of Venus during all the rituals mentioned above. * In Krisin’s commentary on this translation, ‘Physis ENCOMPASSES and “covers” all the scepter-bearers. Put more colloquially, Physis is “all over” Zeus and Aphrodite, etc. Like hair on a head, a cover on a bed, or vines on a grave. She is both somewhat distinguishable from the deities and yet she covers AND at the same time is not easily separated from them.’

Having used the Hymn to Physis for many years in my work with both Zeus and, especially, Aphrodite, this drove a deep connection home for me regarding the generative powers that Venus carries throughout our Cosmos, as one who is intimately entwined with the unfolding of Nature’s bountiful, manifold, and endlessly profusive vigour.
